New Service for Residents Close to the Airport.

HFG establishes a noise complaints telephone line

The Hessische Flugplatz GmbH Egelsbach (HFG) is introducing a new service: as from Monday, June 22nd, there will be a noise complaints telephone in place at Egelsbach Airport. Anyone wishing to complain about aircraft noise can call the line on any day between 9 am and 5 pm. The number is 0800-6385387, and all calls are free of charge.

Nina Lamprecht will answer the telephone. She has recently been appointed to take charge of HFG's public relations, marketing and communications, and thus will be contact for residents bordering the airport. "We want to encourage an open and honest dialogue with our neighbours", says Lamprecht. The NetJets concern, which recently acquired some 80% of the shares in HFG, sets great store by good and co-operative relationships with the local populace.

Nina Lamprecht can look back over 20 years of experience in air transport. She spent several years at Frankfurt Airport in passenger services for some of the major airlines. Apart from that, she has been active in the technical sector of the air transport industry in both marketing and instrument sales. In addition, she got an aviation magazine off the ground in the European market, and most recently was Key Account Manager with the private television station Rhein-Main TV.

"I am a very communicative person, and am very much looking forward to taking care of matters of concern to the general public at Frankfurt-Egelsbach Airport. I shall be putting all my efforts into that, and very much hope I will be able to gain the confidence of those who are critical of the airport," emphasises Lamprecht.

She aims to follow up every complaint and process it within two working days at the latest. Everyone who calls will be called back within this deadline. If as the result of a complaint it is discovered that a pilot has deviated from his appointed flight path, he will be interviewed and required in future to stick to the rules. The HFG means to make an effective contribution with the complaints telephone towards helping protect those who live close to the airport from aircraft noise. For this reason, says Lamprecht, every call will be treated very seriously and the facts of the case examined most carefully.
