Airport Egelsbach under new management
Following an earlier news relase by the Hessische Flugplatz GmbH (HFG) in Egelsbach, airport expert Siegmar Weegen from Hamburg had been appointed as successor of the long serving previous HFG manager Peter Lehmann at the beginning of July.
In his first statement Weegen said that he sees „clear economic perspectives for the airfield Frankfurt-Egelsbach that will benefit the well-being of all partners in the Rhine Main area: for employees, employers, for the shareholders of HFG and also for the local residents.”
Weegen looks back on a successful career spanning 20 years in the aviation industry, as well as many years in leadership positions in the enterprise group Hamburg Airport.

HFG belongs to majority-owner Netjets Europe since spring 2009, a leading operator of business Jets in Europe (and North America).
Netjets, with reference to the management appointment ,stated : „Siegmar Weegen was introduced to us during the sales process of the shares in Egelsbach.
In this process he played an important role as a part of the adviser's team of Dornier Consulting.”
Mr. Weegen is an experienced service provider and his leadership abilities, as well as his operational and technical understanding will be of great value to HFG.
